  1. Time Off integration via SAP CPI/HCI Middleware: SuccessFactors EC Time Off data can also be integrated with SAP HCM using SAP CPI/HCI middleware. This method involves configuring integration flows to synchronize time off data between the two systems. Employees can request time off through SuccessFactors EC Time Off, and their requests are automatically replicated in SAP HCM. This integration method allows for more flexibility in data mapping and transformation.
  2. Time Off integration via P2P (Point-to-Point) is another method for integrating SuccessFactors EC Time Off with SAP HCM. In this method, data is exchanged between SuccessFactors EC Time Off and SAP HCM directly, without using a middleware platform

The P2P integration method involves configuring a set of APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) to exchange data between the two systems. The API calls are initiated by SuccessFactors EC Time Off or SAP HCM, depending on the direction of data exchange – For example, when an employee requests time off in SuccessFactors EC Time Off, the system initiates an API call to update the time off request in SAP HCM. Similarly, when a manager approves a time off request in SAP HCM, the system initiates an API call to update the time off request in SuccessFactors EC Time Off.
P2P integration can be beneficial for organizations that require real-time synchronization of data between SuccessFactors EC Time Off and SAP HCM. However, it requires technical expertise to configure and maintain the integration. Additionally, P2P integration may not be suitable for organisations with complex integration requirements, as it can be challenging to manage and troubleshoot issues that arise from direct data exchange between the two systems.
